The Counter Terrorist - the Official Journal of the Homeland Security Professional - is now available as an eZine in which users can digitally flip pages and use hot links within to be directed toward advertiser web sites.
Miami, FL (PRWEB) June 3, 2009 -- The Miami-based national print publication, The Counter Terrorist has grown despite the recession and the many newspaper and magazine failures throughout the country. The current issue, distributed now to more than 20,000, carried a 30% increase in advertising revenues from leading Homeland Security solutions providers.
Now, readers as far away as Iraq and Afghanistan can keep up with the news on terrorist tactics by reading the publication in its new eZine form online, through a secured login section of the magazine's website. The new magazine allows readers to flip pages by clicking just as though they were reading the physical copy. eZine subscribers do not need to wait for the magazine to arrive in the mail - they have access immediately after the issue is published. Annual subscriptions for the eZine are only $19.99 (for 6 issues).
"With the advent of an Al-Qaeda eZine, and despite the pronouncement by the Homeland Security secretary that the war on terror is over, we are geared up to provide those concerned with protecting our homeland with the latest information wherever they are serving our country. We are proud of the increased accessibility that qualified readers will get as well as the ease of use of the eZine which enables subscribers to really read and get the look and feel of a magazine online," says Sol Bradman, CEO of SSI who publishes the magazine.
A subscriber currently serving in Afghanistan on what have been deemed by Washington to be "Overseas Contingency Operations" against "man-made incidents", but formerly known as a soldier fighting on the front lines of the War on Terror, told our editor that he was very impressed by being able to read the eZine immediately online and not having to wait months to get back home and read the issues he'd missed to find out what terrorists are up to against the US. Publishing the electronic version of The Counter Terrorist only keeps up with the terrorists who published their own eZine last month.
Al-Qaeda appears not to read Secretary Napolitano's statements that the War on Terror is over. The Al-Qaeda eZine, named Jihad Recollections, is about 70 pages long and packed with suggestions on how to defeat enemies of Allah. It claims to have articles written by Bin Laden and Al-Zawahiri as well as fitness information and tactics for creating terrorist incidents. Despite the proclamations coming out of Washington, Al-Qaeda seems not to be paying attention. Thought to be produced by an American living in North Carolina, the magazine is following a trend of terrorist media aimed at US audiences with the purpose of inciting local Jihadists.
