Huntingdon Valley, PA (PRWEB) June 10, 2009 -- AlphaLit, a division of Alpha Systems and a nationally recognized provider of litigation support services, today announced the release of PrivLog Builder™. This new comprehensive tool for building Privilege Logs is integrated seamlessly into E-Direct®, AlphaLit's full featured on-line review platform.

This release helps legal teams streamline the tedious process of assembling Privilege Logs, and at the same time, strengthens AlphaLit's position as a software development leader in the Electronic Discovery space.

This new module is a direct result of client feedback regarding the difficulties and stress of building Privilege Logs for large productions
"This new module is a direct result of client feedback regarding the difficulties and stress of building Privilege Logs for large productions," said Dale Drury, Vice President of AlphaLit. "We focus and prioritize our software development efforts on the most painful, error prone, and manual tasks that our clients must endure. And we add these new capabilities with uncomplicated interfaces, supported with powerful functionality and performance, but always with an eye towards simplicity."

In short, the PrivLog Builder™ automates the drudgery of assembling a Privilege Log. It improves efficiency, it eliminates errors, and it removes much of the stress associated with completing an accurate log on time. This powerful new feature builds on the straight forward core functions already available in E-Direct, which include native, tiff or HTML review, user definable coding interface, full featured searching capabilities, batch coding, redaction, printing and exporting.

PrivLog highlights include:

Review Form
Users can create a custom review form for privilege review, which allows for building of complex privilege statements and adding attorney names.

Privilege Report Template
Users can create report templates and use them to consistently generate reports throughout the privilege review. Multiple templates are available to accommodate internal and external PrivLogs.

Name Standardization
Users can import a list of unique names from project metadata, as well as from existing name lists. Then, using our intuitive interface, users can standardize names into the preferred format. This functionality alone can save countless hours in performing global find & replace tasks as well as dramatically increase accuracy.

Privilege Report
The report can automatically number the records, concatenate the phrases from the review form, display all standard names, and export to a delimited text file, which is easily imported to Excel, Access, Word or other litigation support programs.
