Nikki Mehrpoo Jacobson is a founding partner of Jacobson & Han LLP. She is an experienced attorney and immigration rights advocate. Ms. Jacobson has been practicing law since 1997 and has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS - formerly INS), the United States Federal Courts and the Superior Courts of California.

Ms. Jacobson has extensive experience in Immigration Law; including, deportation and removal proceedings before the Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has successfully represented clients in political asylum, withholding of deportation, cancellation of removal, and criminal and fraud waiver cases.

Additionally, she represents clients from all over the world before the USCIS, U.S. Embassies, and Consulates assisting them with consular processing, visas, adjustment of status, citizenship, naturalization hearings, various waivers, corporate immigration and employment matters, labor certifications, non-immigrant visas, and permanent residency options.

Ms. Jacobson is a member and very active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (Southern California Chapter: Immigration Court-EOIR Liaison), the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Executive Member of the Immigration Law Section), Culver Marina Bar Association and several other legal associations.

She is an active lecturer on various immigration topics and legal ethics. She is also a distinguished Assistant Professor of Law at West Los Angeles College.

Ms. Jacobson obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (cum laude ) from California State University, Northridge in 1994. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1997. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ms. Jacobson is a refugee from Iran and her second language is Farsi.

Ms. Susan S. Han is a founding partner at the law firm of Jacobson & Han LLP in Los Angeles, California and has extensive experience in Immigration Law and Criminal Law. Ms. Han has been practicing immigration law since 1998 and has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS - formerly INS), the Immigration Court and the Appeals Board and Courts.

Before becoming a partner in Jacobson & Han LLP, Ms. Han was the supervising attorney and head of the immigration department for several small and mid-size law firms. She has vast experience in handling all aspects of immigration law including family-based petitions, business immigration, deportation and removal, asylum, citizenship and naturalization, and appeals at all levels.

Ms. Han received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law where she earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. Ms. Han was also selected to be a member of the Moot Court Honors Program where she was an oral advocate for the Products Liability team and competed around the country.

In addition to her practice, Ms. Han is also an adjunct professor at California State University, Los Angeles, where she teaches Immigration Law for the Paralegal Program.

Ms. Han is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Han is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Korean-American Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Ms. Han's second language is Korean.
