Donald P. Schweitzer, Pasadena Family Law Attorney, appointed Family Law Section Chairman of the Pasadena Bar Association

Donald P. Schweitzer, a certified family law attorney at the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer, a Pasadena divorce and family law firm, is named the new Chairman of the Pasadena Family Law Section of the Pasadena Bar Association.

Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) January 21, 2009 -- The Pasadena Bar Association has announced that Donald P. Schweitzer, a Pasadena based certified family law specialist of the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer will be the new Chairman of the Family Law Section. Mr. Schweitzer begins his tenure in January 2009.

Mr. Schweitzer hopes to breathe new life into the Family Law Section of the Pasadena Bar Association by creating an environment for family law attorneys to network and develop friendships within the community.

Mr. Schweitzer is interested in raising professionalism amongst family law attorneys and would like to reach out to those who haven't participated in the past.

According to Mr. Schweitzer, "Family law is a difficult practice because clients are dealing with extreme emotions, everyone needs friends, and I'd like to create a network they can rely upon."

At Mr. Schweitzer's first meeting on January 28, 2009, as the new Chairman, he will be honoring fellow Pasadena family law attorney, Gary Kearney, who has held the Chairman position for the past four years.

"I have big shoes to fill. Mr. Kearney did a great job and I have the utmost respect for him. I hope that I can do as well as he did in this assignment," said Schweitzer.

Mr. Schweitzer has arranged for the managing partner of the Center for Enforcement of Family Support, Raymond R. Goldstein, to speak on topics related to family law support enforcement. Mr. Goldstein is a repeat lecturer to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and other educational institutions. Mr. Goldstein sits on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association where he chairs the Outreach Committee, as well as chairing the Financial Issues (South) Committee for the Family Law Executive Committee of the State Bar of California.
