The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the New York City Bar Association, which is located at 42 West 44th Street. The ongoing series is organized by Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP and Arnold & Porter LLP. The event is also co-sponsored by 47 additional law firms in the New York City area.

Deirdre Stanley is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Thomson Reuters, responsible for the global legal function for Thomson Reuters and its subsidiaries. In this capacity she oversees all aspects of the company's legal affairs and leads the day-to-day operations of the global legal department. Ms. Stanley is a member of the Thomson Reuters Executive Committee. Prior to joining The Thomson Corporation in 2002, Ms. Stanley served as Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for the Electronics Commerce Solutions Division of IAC (previously, USA Networks, Inc.). She joined USA Networks as Deputy General Counsel in 1999. From 1997 through 1999, Ms. Stanley served as Associate General Counsel for GTE Corporation, where she headed the mergers and acquisitions practice group. Ms. Stanley started her career as a corporate associate with the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, working in both their New York and London offices.
