The first issue of 2009 marks the first issue of the publication available for individual sale at commercial outlets. SSI has established a new relationship with Media Solutions, a major retail distributor whose clients include Books-A-Million, Books & Company, Bookland and Joe Muggs. Through this relationship, the current issue, February/March 2009 is available at over 18 stores throughout 19 states. In addition to partnering with Media Solutions, The Counter Terrorist has also introduced its new relationships with other major retail distributors. First, Ingram Periodicals, a very large and well respected organization that distributes to commercial outlets such as Barnes & Noble and B. Dalton Bookseller. Secondly, Benjamin News Group who is responsible for a great deal of retail distribution throughout eastern Canada, expanding the reach of The Counter Terrorist to a global scale.
Through its efforts to foster extensive expansion in 2009, SSI has made it a point to make The Counter Terrorist available at the most important security events and conferences and as the audience grows, as do the relationships with the leading event organizers. The conference distribution calendar for 2009 is filling quickly with an estimated five thousand in bonus distribution for each issue.
