Southern California Turns to SSI for Training in Counter Terrorism Unit Tactics

After the events in Mumbai, US SWAT teams with responsibility under the national plan for responding to acts of terror or criminal acts involving explosives are all lining up to take the much acclaimed SSI SWAT Counter Terrorism Operations program.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) December 15, 2008 -- Southern California is one of the most proactive regions in this field and the SWAT teams there are all very well trained. However, the SSI training adds new tools to the SWAT members' tool box which may be essential in a terror or criminal event where explosives and/or hostages are involved. In March, Southern California, which also hosted the program in November of 2008, will add more teams to the training roster.

The program uses experience gained world-wide in the War on Terror, and the best operatives available, to train US SWAT teams on the tactics needed to respond to acts of terrorism. SSI SWAT trainers must be highly skilled members of counter terror units. Only trainers that have been actively involved in terror incidents are used for this unique program.

"Dynamic breaching when the suspects are willing to die as part of their mission poses the maximum threat for SWAT teams. Our training focuses on situations like the ones in Mumbai; how to deal with hostage or non-hostage sieges; utilizing bomb techs and bomb dogs as part of the integrated team and doing this all in a safe, controlled environment," says Sol Bradman, CEO of SSI.

The training program has been delivered to members of nearly 40 teams in the USA over the past two years. Only qualified military or experienced SWAT and SRT personnel may take part.

Are You a Potential Victim of Lawfare?

SSI's non-profit organization, "Protecting the Homeland", is our newest initiative in championing democratic processes. In the dynamic arena for counteracting Islamic extremism masked under the exploitation of civil liberties, many have fallen victim to Lawfare--the formula is predictable. So-called anti-terrorist organizations, aligned with Islamic extremism, blatantly abuse the laws, freedoms and loopholes of the most liberal nation on earth to help finance and direct the world's most violent international terrorism cells.

The "Protecting the Homeland" organization charter embodies two main objectives: ceaseless dedication in counter-acting Islamic radicals who repeatedly attempt to threaten our constitutional freedoms, and channeling funds to educate US First Responders through sponsorship of training programs in the USA and Israel.
