Los Angeles, CA -- LawScribe, Inc. (www.law-scribe.com), one of the world's leading legal process outsourcing companies (LPO), and the first LPO to receive MCLE Ethics accreditation for a legal outsourcing ethics course, announced today that it had received MCLE accreditation for two additional courses: Patent Outsourcing, the Ethical Implications, and Offshore Document Review.
The new Patent Outsourcing seminar covers the ethical, liability, and security risks associated specifically with the outsourcing of patent support work overseas. The course also examines the recent USPTO Notice discussing the Scope of Foreign Filing Licenses and compliance with the Export Administration Regulations.
The Offshore Document Review seminar provides attendees with a detailed cost-benefit analysis between offshore and onshore document review, together with a real life, large-scale, offshore document review case study. The seminar also examines the various pricing models available for outsourced document review, including per-document pricing.
LawScribe will be providing all three seminars, including its original MCLE Ethics accredited course, Offshore Legal Outsourcing: the Ethical Implications, throughout December 2008 and January 2009. The courses are available both in-person at law firms and legal departments across California and online via webinars.
LawScribe's CEO and President, Kunoor Chopra, explained how the seminars had come to fruition. "We have always taken great care to ensure that our law firm and in-house counsel clients are fully aware of the responsibilities incumbent upon them in any offshore legal outsourcing relationship. These courses are based on the domain expertise that we have built over the last 5 years and the best practices we currently have in place."
Mark Ross, U.K. attorney and Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing added, "I believe that LawScribe is one of the first LPO's in the marketplace, if not the only, to provide such a variety of MCLE accredited legal process outsourcing courses. This is further evidence of our ongoing commitment to raising standards within the legal process outsourcing industry."
Those wishing to arrange an in-person course or to register for one of the webinars should email Mark Ross at mross@law-scribe.com or call (818) 442-4615.
