Greenberg Traurig's Global Operating Shareholder Hilarie Bass has been selected as the next vice chair of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association.
Miami, FL (Vocus/PRWEB ) December 4, 2008 -- Greenberg Traurig's Global Operating Shareholder Hilarie Bass has been selected as the next vice chair of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association. The litigation section is the largest section in the ABA and has more than 70,000 members. Following her term as vice chair, Bass will succeed to the position of chair commencing in 2010.

Bass, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig's Miami office, also serves as the national chair of the firm's litigation practice. As Global Operating Shareholder Bass' primary focus is to work closely with Greenberg Traurig's global practice groups. Bass has represented clients in many commercial cases and has been active in bar work on national, state and local levels. She has served in the ABA House of Delegates and Board of Governors, chaired several committees as well as the Fund for Justice and Education. She is a frequent lecturer at CLE sessions and bar association meetings throughout the country and has made numerous appearances on national and local media broadcasts, including the Today Show and CNN.
