Prior to joining Portolano Colella Cavallo, Rocco Panetta has been a top level officer of the Italian Data Protection Authority (since 2001), including representing Italy before the EU Commission and the Council of Europe; in the TLC field Rocco has worked in wi-fi networks, broadband infrastructure wholesale and resale agreements, authorizations, etc. Rocco is also an expert in the environmental and energy field, having been, among other things, Secretary General of the Italian National Commission for the Assessment of the Environmental Impact (Commissione Nazionale di Valutazione di Impatto Ambientale) and, as of last June, a Commissioner of the same.
