Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) June 20, 2008 -- As of June 18, 2008, California lawyer Monica R. Dean has joined the law firm of Lovaas & Lehtinen, P.C. Prior to joining Lovaas & Lehtinen, P.C., Monica R. Dean was a Staff Attorney/Regional Director for Kaplan PMBR. Ms. Dean is licensed to practice in California. Ms. Dean will sit for the Nevada bar exam in February, 2009. Throughout law school Ms. Dean worked at the Arizona Office of the Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division and the Litigation and Advice Section. In her role, she was exposed to many different areas of law including employment and personnel, contracts, housing and public accommodation discrimination cases, and alternative dispute resolution. In addition, she worked in the student legal assistance office at Arizona State University, one of the largest universities in the nation. There she helped students with formation of businesses, as well as contract, employment, landlord-tenant, and real estate disputes.
While in law school Ms. Dean obtained her Arizona real estate license and helped many first time homeowners with real estate transactions. Ms. Dean has worked with lenders, brokers, new home builders and contractors on a variety of property transactions. As an associate with the law firm of Lovaas & Lehtinen, P.C., Ms. Dean will assist in the representation of clients in all aspects of business and real estate related matters.

Monica R. Dean is originally from Oakland, CA having earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis, Davis, California, in 2003 with honors. During her undergraduate program she interned at the Yolo County Superior Court House. Following receipt of her undergraduate degree, Ms. Dean helped establish and run her family's retail business in Northern California. Ms. Dean obtained her Juris Doctorate, from Arizona State Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in December 2006.
