Indpendent broker/dealer advisory services firm, J.P.Turner & Company Scott Holcomb chosen for one of 60 spots at the prestigious Bucerius Summer School, Hamberg, Germany. Scott Holcomb was selected from a pool of 250 international applicants.

Turner was selected to attend the prestigious Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance in Hamberg, Germany. Scott Holcomb was one of some 250 applicants from 56 countries chosen for the 60 available spots.

Prior to joining J.P. Turner in May 2007, Scott Holcomb was an associate with Asbill & Brennan, LLC, Atlanta, where he focused his practice on securities matters. He is a former Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, where he served as a military prosecutor, labor counselor, and international law attorney. As an international law attorney, Scott Holcomb participated in Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received the Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star Award in 2006 and 2007, American Marshall Memorial Fellowship in 2005, Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the University of Connecticut and has authored numerous publications. Scott Holcomb and his wife, Kathleen, reside in Atlanta with their two-year old son Carter.

The Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance will be held August 24-September 7 and is
designed to foster leadership qualities in young professionals by opening a cross-border dialogue on current political, economic, social and judicial issues. Participants are successful young managers, politicians, journalists, academics and NGO representatives from around the world age 28 to 35 who have already acquired some professional experience and show promise in their chosen field. Participants will learn from and be inspired by high profile speakers who are eminent public figures in politics, business, academia and the NGO sphere.
