$25,000 Contributed to Missourians for Fair and Impartial Courts
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) February 6, 2008 -- Missouri personal injury attorneys Robb & Robb LLC, has announced their contribution of $25,000 to the campaign to keep politics out of Missouri's courts. The Missourians for Fair and Impartial Courts seeks to protect and preserve Missouri's non-partisan court plan, which has served as a model for selection of judges adopted by over 30 other states. The Missouri Plan has been attacked by republican right wing interest groups who complain about activist judges. The Missourians for Fair and Impartial Courts is a broad based coalition interested in preserving merit, rather than political selection of judges. Legislation to abolish or limit the plan and move to election of judges has been introduced in the Missouri legislature.
According to Kansas City personal injury attorney and partner Anita Porte Robb, "We in Missouri are rightly proud of the Missouri non- partisan court plan and the honorable and qualified judges it has produced. We will fight to preserve it, and to keep politics and outside influences out of our judicial process."
