WorldatWork Opens Washington, D.C. Office With Three Key Hires

International HR association to solidify involvement in the legislative and policy-making discussion on executive compensation, benefits and total rewards.

Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) November 7, 2007 -- WorldatWork, an association of human resource professionals from FORTUNE 500 and other leading organizations worldwide, announced it has hired several executives for its newly opened Washington, D.C. Office and Conference Center. Among other things, the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based professional association will be hosting more than 40 training and educational programs for HR and total rewards professionals in the new facility beginning this month and throughout 2008.

Paul Rowson joins as general manager responsible for providing direction and leadership for WorldatWork’s new Washington operations. Prior to joining WorldatWork, Rowson was an HR business partner with Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C., providing strategic leadership, advice and counsel to senior management for several divisions. He previously spent 10 years at Marriott International in various corporate human resources positions. Rowson holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia.

Cara Welch joins WorldatWork as director of public policy. Welch has 15 years experience in public policy and government affairs and is a member of the DC Bar. Most recently, she served as general counsel and vice president of advocacy at Design-Build Institute of America in Washington, D.C. She obtained a bachelor of arts from Macalester College and a law degree from Georgetown University.

Bruce Kabin joins as senior corporate & public sector education manager responsible for developing relationships with government agencies and Washington-area businesses. Kabin brings with him 20 years of management, marketing and merchandising experience most recently with American Direct Mail Advertising Corporation in Washington, D.C and earlier with The May Department Stores. He completed a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ohio University.
