Report supplies new evidence to strengthen case of aviation attorney Gary C. Robb.
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) October 23, 2007 -- Aviation attorney Gary C. Robb was recently featured in a Kansas City Star article that discussed the publication of a new report connected with one of his lawsuits (Schlotzhauer et al, Case No. CL102824, District Court of Polk County, Iowa) arising out of the filming of the movie "The Final Season."
The article highlights a newly released report by the National Transportation Safety Board. This report cites pilot error as cause of a 2006 helicopter accident, which resulted in the fatality of cinematographer Roland Schlotzhauer. The results of this report form, in part, the basis of Kathy Schlotzhauer's lawsuit against the pilot of the helicopter, the producers of the movie Schlotzhauer was filming at the time, and several other defendants in the Polk County District Court in Des Moines.
In the article, Robb, a Kansas City personal injury attorney, expressed his belief that the NTSB investigation team may be expected to amend its report to include information about the wire strike protection system that was installed on the front of the helicopter. The Kansas City Star confirmed that this system is designed to cut any utility lines in front of the aircraft, though it did not prevent the subject helicopter from becoming caught up in the lines in this case.
Robb has advised the media that discovery in the case is ongoing, and he expects it to go to trial sometime next year.
