"Robb Report" Article Features Attorney's Evaluation of Top Private Aircraft Provider

The article focuses on Avantair's extremely well designed Piaggio Avanti aircraft, well known in the industry as the "greenest" private aircraft on the market.

Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) April 8, 2009 -- An article in the April 2009 edition of the Robb Report magazine reports on the strengths of the Avantair private aviation firm as determined by noted Kansas City aviation lawyer Gary C. Robb, of ROBB & ROBB, LLC. The article focuses on the firm's extremely well designed Piaggio Avanti aircraft, well known in the industry as the "greenest" private aircraft on the market. Avantair is one of a very few private aviation firms that has seen dramatic growth during these uncertain economic times. It is one of the industry's most fuel-efficient business aircraft.

In the article Mr. Robb discusses the basis for his high evaluation of the Avantair business model, which revolves exclusively around use of the Piaggio Avanti aircraft: "We put a tremendous amount of due diligence into looking at Avantair before we purchased our fractional share…We always look at three things- the specs of the aircraft, the company's service, and the value. When you consider all three, we believe the Avantair is head and shoulders above the other fractional providers…. It helps with our bottom line because it allows us to be more efficient as an aviation law firm," Mr. Robb said. Robb also cited the aircraft's spacious cabin and smooth ride as superior to those of other private aircraft, and praised Avantair's customer service and pilots.

The Robb & Robb law firm has a long record of notable successes in aviation litigation. In 1995, Robb & Robb obtained the two highest jury verdicts in helicopter crash cases in the U.S., a $350 million jury verdict on behalf of a helicopter pilot who experienced an in-flight engine failure (Barnett v. La Societe Anonyme Turbomecca France, 963 S.W. 2d 939, Western District of Missouri Court of Appeals), and a $70 million jury verdict on behalf of a 20 year old woman who was a passenger on board that same helicopter(Letz v. Turbomecca, 975 S. W. 2d 155, Western District Missouri Court of Appeals). In Drye v. Teledyne Et Al, Case No. 03-CV-750, Superior Court of Cambarras County, North Carolina, the firm obtained a $26 million settlement in 2006 arising out of the crash of a private plane, the largest aviation settlement in United States history involving the death of a husband and wife. The firm also has the highest settlement in any helicopter crash litigation, a $38 million cash settlement involving a young woman who was severely burned when her tour helicopter crashed in the Grand Canyon (Daskal, et. Al. v. Aerospetiale), Case No. A471961 Clark Co. Dist. Court, Las Vegas, Nevada). Robb & Robb has been recognized by national media and a number of professional organizations as one of the leading aviation law firms in the United States.
