Schillings has announced the strengthening of their media litigation team with the appointment of barrister Korieh Duodu.
(PRWEB) June 5, 2008 -- Schillings, one of Britain's top law firms which is dedicated to safeguarding the reputations of international corporations, brands, celebrities and high-profile business people, has just announced the appointment of barrister Korieh Duodu, to further strengthen its already formidable media litigation team.
Korieh Duodu, formerly part of the legal department at Guardian News and Media, has joined Schillings (http://www.schillings.co.uk/ ) as a Senior Associate, bringing with him additional expertise to the firm having worked on behalf of the media in many media litigation cases, as well as possessing full rights as a barrister.
As a barrister with a broad and substantial range of experience in media litigation, and expertise in defamation and privacy (http://www.schillings.co.uk/Display.aspx?&MasterId=33582935-987d-4bb1-b1d6-641d96f17cdd&NavigationId=219 ) cases, Schillings felt that the appointment would add a valuable extra dimension to their team who pride themselves on working on behalf of claimants against the media, which enables them to respond immediately to conflict of interest requests by completely eliminating any risk in advance. The addition of Korieh, with his expert knowledge from the media's side of legal disputes will provide a precious additional perspective for the expanding team at Schillings, allowing a faster response and an increased ability to pre-empt the media's strategies.
Korieh joins the firm as part of an experienced team run by Partner Gideon Benaim (http://www.schillings.co.uk/Display.aspx?&MasterId=08cedac7-0374-4271-979a-d7424037cb78&NavigationId=237 ), who was recently shortlisted as Partner of the Year (http://www.schillings.co.uk/Display.aspx?MasterId=7e95b370-edb3-4cad-b433-d3ade965d1ef&NavigationId=246 ) at The Lawyer Awards 2008, and has extensive trial and appeal experience, representing high profile clients like Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski in the House of Lords in his successful bid to give evidence at his libel trial by video link from Paris.

I read about Mr Benaim's achievements as supplied to The Lawyer Magazine for Partner of the Year in which he claims to have obtained privacy for children now. Mr Benaim had scant regard for the well being of the 13 year old child sodomised by Roman Polanski.Mr Benaim brags that he arranged for Mr Polanski to give evidence via video link thereby prohibiting him from being extradited for the crime of rape of a child for which he was found guilty. It says a lot about Mr Benaim that he boasts aobut this.
