Gigantic Marketing Expands Trademark Litigation Against WeAreGignatic To Include MDC Partners.

"We are defending our brand at time when brands are more important than ever." -- Bernard Urban, President, Gigantic

(PRWEB) December 13, 2007 -- Today Gigantic Marketing, Inc. formally announced that is has expanded the trademark litigation against MDC backed WeAreGigantic to include MDC Partners. (Case #1:2007cv06400, New York Southern District Court)

Gigantic is adamant that WeAreGigantic change their name. "Back in August, we started getting phone calls for Neil Powell," said Gigantic Marketing president, Bernard Urban, "I became particularly concerned when someone called and asked about the loss of the Mike's Hard Lemonade account. We did not do that work and we do not want to be associated with it. That was not our account. We did not lose that business. I feel our brand is being devalued by the defection of their client."

To date, Mr. Powell did not attend two conferences with Magistrate Judge Ellis. "We take this situation very seriously," claimed Urban "Now that MDC has been added, maybe Miles Nadal will see the obvious need to change the name and put this matter behind us."

In October, Gigantic Marketing launched a self-promotional campaign called "Defend Your Brand" (www.defendyourbrand.org) touting the increasing importance of brand identity in today's complex marketplace. "We see brands as sacred," stated Urban, "if you don't have a strong brand, you cannot navigate the increasingly fragmented media landscape."

Several industry blogs have covered the story closely including Adrants (http://www.adrants.com/2007/10/gigantic-goes-after-mdcs-we-are-gigantic-.php) and Adpulp (http://www.adpulp.com/archives/2007/10/we_are_arrogant.php).
